St. Olaf Parish is Catholic community committed in faith

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation is a process of inquiry by which adults and children are introduced to the Catholic Faith and the Community. It is an informal environment in which the inquirer may ask questions and participate in discussions. Time is given to prayer and practical application of God’s Word in life today. Sharing with catechists and sponsors form a journey process marked by liturgical rites and celebrations.
For those interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, sessions begin Sunday, June 7, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the rectory meeting room. For more information please call Paulette Hill at the rectory at 295-3621. |
Year of the Priest!

John Vianney - Patron Saint of Parish Priests
Meeting with members of the Congregation for Clergy, the Holy Father announced that the Church will celebrate a special year for priests beginning on June 19, 2009. The year will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of St. Jean-Baptiste Vianney, Cure of Ars.

BAPTISMS
Baptisms are prepared in advance with the pastor. Parents desiring baptism of their children are expected to be registered in the parish and attend baptism preparation class.
